WOODWORKING 2012 Lahti Fair Centre - 14-16 November 2012
The woodworking industry will put its entire production chain on show at the traditional Woodworking Fair in Lahti. The Fair will be held at the Lahti Fair Centre, which now offers even more modern, better functioning facilities, thanks to the new extension that combines the halls.
The Woodworking Fair is the largest woodworking and wood-product industry Exhibition in the Nordic region. This international Trade Fair features the entire production chain of the industry: machinery, devices, raw materials, blades, tools, surface treatment, and fixing and packaging technology. Carpentry training and subcontracting will have a strong presence at the fair. This time, the Woodworking Fair focuses more strongly on further processing and the carpentry industry. The event brings together carpentry skills, industrial design, and environmental expertise.
The facilities of the Lahti Fair Centre also offer the opportunity to exhibit production technology in action. It provides added visibility through work demonstrations and via customer and training events. Lahti Fair Ltd offers professional help for planning and implementation.
Woodworking Industry Day
To strengthen the increasing potential of the woodworking industry and to utilise new kinds of expertise, a special Woodworking Industry Day event will again be held in connection with the Fair.
Topical themes include, for instance, the CE marking and quality control. The Woodworking Industry Day will be organised by the Association of Finnish Woodworking and Furniture Industries (AFWFI).
A special international industrial design event, OLO.MUOTO, will be held, now for the third time, at the Lahti Fair Centre simultaneously with the Woodworking Fair. The theme of the event will be Finnish wood design.
